Shape the future of environmental leadership in our communityWe are seeking a visionary, strategic, and highly capable leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as the Director Environmental Services.In this key executive role, you will lead a diverse portfolio including city compliance, environmental health, waste and sustainability, property management, and major projects.Key responsibilities:Provide strategic and operational leadership to a multi-disciplinary Directorate with responsibility for waste services, environmental sustainability, regulatory compliance, and property asset management.Drive the delivery of Council’s capital works and maintenance programs relating to property and environmental infrastructure.Lead the implementation of Council’s Waste Management Strategy and environmental initiatives. Oversee key regulatory functions including environmental health, animal management, parking enforcement, and local laws. Ensure effective planning, budgeting, and monitoring of Directorate services and projects. Champion a positive workplace culture aligned with Council’s values and commitment to customer service and community outcomes. Represent the Directorate at Council and Executive Leadership Team meetings and contribute to strategic planning and corporate decision-making.About you:You are a proven executive leader with a passion for environmental sustainability, regulatory excellence, and community-focused outcomes.
