We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, while maintaining compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
About the Role
You’ll play a key role in managing accounts payable functions and supporting corporate purchasing card processes. This position requires a strong focus on accuracy, organisation and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and enter invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile supplier statements and manage discrepancies
- Coordinate supplier payments
- Manage the Corporate Purchasing Card function
- Create and maintain supplier records
- Monitor purchase orders and ensure compliance
- Perform reconciliations and assist with bank statement processing
- Manage superannuation payments for contractors
- Respond to supplier enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Assist with audit queries and provide support during audits
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and reporting requirements
- Experience with financial systems and maintaining databases
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels
- Professional, courteous, and stakeholder-focused approach
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and compliance
Position details:
- Maximum term until 31 January 2027
- Part time 28 hours per week
- Salary $74,420.00 (pro rata)
