The Glenorchy Jobs Hub is dedicated to connecting local people with local jobs. We’re looking for a motivated and community-minded Job Coach to support individuals in their training, career readiness, and journey to sustainable employment.
In this rewarding position, you’ll provide hands-on support to job seekers and strengthen connections with local employers. You’ll play a key role in building employment pathways, coordinating workforce development activities, and ensuring positive, lasting employment outcomes for our community.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local employers and job seekers.
- Match job seekers to suitable vacancies and provide tailored employment advice.
- Coordinate training and workforce development initiatives that respond to local needs.
- Engage with employers to understand their workforce requirements and promote Jobs Hub services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date job seeker information within our CRM system.
- Provide post-placement and on-the-job support to both job seekers and employers.
- Collaborate with the Jobs Hub Coordinator to identify trends, opportunities, and community needs.
- Represent the Jobs Hub at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
- Work closely with local Employment Service Providers to identify and connect suitable candidates.

You’re a people-focused professional with a passion for helping others succeed. You bring a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll bring:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in recruitment, employment services, or a related field.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
- Sound knowledge of unemployment issues and proven strategies for supporting job seekers into sustainable work.
- A flexible, resilient, and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Position details:
- Fixed term until 30 September 2027
- Full time – 76 hours per fortnight
