We are seeking an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Plant Operator to join our team and contribute to the delivery of Council’s Capital Works Program. This role involves operating heavy plant and equipment while undertaking hands-on construction and maintenance work on municipal roads, drainage systems, and civil infrastructure.About the role:As a Multi-Skilled Plant Operator, you will play a key role in the construction and maintenance of roads, drainage, and civil infrastructure. This hands-on position involves operating heavy plant and equipment, performing earthworks, concreting, and pipe laying, while also undertaking general labouring duties.You will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment, completing work documentation, and conducting inspections and risk assessments to ensure high-quality outcomes. What you’ll bring:

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction (or related field) or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure and roadworks
  • Medium Rigid (MR) Driver’s Licence
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Demonstrated experience operating heavy plant (up to 24T GVM) in a civil construction or maintenance environment
  • Proven experience in concrete works and advanced formwork, pipe laying to line and grade and reading and interpreting technical plans and drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative
  • Sound literacy, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety

    Position details:

    • Full-Time, 76 hours fortnight.
    • Annual salary: $70,794.00
