Traditionally, the manufacturing heart of Tasmania, the City of Glenorchy is experiencing rapid economic diversification and growth. It is home to the world-famous MONA, substantive commercial, industrial and retail centres and the Tasmanian Technopark.Reporting to the Manager City Strategy & Economic Development, the primary function of this role is to support Council with the delivery of an urban public space vision for the key commercial centres in Glenorchy and immediate surrounds (greater Glenorchy) reflecting the current aspirations and future needs of residents, visitors, students and the working community, referencing the Greater Glenorchy Plan 2020. The position is responsible for scoping, project managing and undertaking the development of concept level design, plans and masterplans for specific place making and broader master planning projects.Position Number: 100244Position Hours: 2 year fixed term contract.
