We are looking for a suitably qualified Assistant Development Engineer to join the Planning Services team. You will be responsible for assisting with the provision of engineering advice, design, approval and inspection services relevant to the assessment of a broad range of development applications across the City.
The successful applicant will have:
- A commitment to quality customer service.
- Experience in local government operations including an understanding and knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards and road and hydraulic construction practices
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities and the ability to recommend workable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously on specific projects.
Qualifications required:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline, with experience in design and/or construction experience in road and hydraulics assets OR a lower-level qualification in Civil Engineering together with substantial experience in design and/or construction of hydraulic assets in Local Government.
Position Hours: Full-Time, 75 hours fortnight.
Salary range: $84,836.28 to $95,481.21 plus superannuation
