Our community’s vision for the City is to be a proud city; a city of arts; of opportunity; of partnerships; a city that makes exciting things happen.We are looking for a suitably qualified Community Development Officer (Children, Youth and Families) to join the Community Development team within a dynamic Council, which will allow you to capitalise on your existing skillset. You will be working with the community and organisations to develop and implement programs and initiatives for children, young people and their families.The Candidate: The candidate will have the ability to work with Council staff, community groups and organisations and work with the Community Department to achieve the goals of the overall Community Strategy. The applicant will have highly developed interpersonal skills, including excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to relate to children and young people.Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, with demonstrated 2 years post graduate experience in a relevant field and knowledge and understanding of working with young people.Position Number: 100134Position Hours: Part-time, 60 hours per fortnight (worked over 4 days, preferred days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - other day negotiable).
