Community Development Officer – Children, Youth and Families

Glenorchy is the second biggest employment location in greater Hobart and the industrial centre for Tasmania.  Home to the world-famous Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), Glenorchy also has vibrant retail and community services sectors.  Our community’s vision for the City is to be a proud city; a city of arts; of opportunity; of partnerships; a city that makes exciting things happen.We are looking for a suitably qualified Community Development Officer (Children, Youth and Families) to join the Community Development team within a dynamic Council, which will allow you to capitalise on your existing skillset.  You will be working with the community and organisations to develop and implement programs and initiatives for children, young people and their families.The Candidate:  The candidate will have the ability to work with Council staff, community groups and organisations and work with the Community Department to achieve the goals of the overall Community Strategy.
