We are looking for a part-time Customer Service Officer. The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing a positive customer service experience as first point of contact to Council’s customers, completing a vast variety of enquiries, requests and payments at the front counter and call centre. The Customer Service Officer is also involved with and responsible for the completion of administrative tasks, project work, process improvements and implementation of procedures and systems.
The candidate will have demonstrated abilities to work in a fast-paced changing environment, with a willingness to act as a positive change agents. You will have proven experience and knowledge of cash handling, balancing and receipting skills.
You will be highly organised, with the appropriate written and verbal communication skills to be able to meet deadlines under conflicting pressures whilst also being committed to meeting our customer expectations. Not to mention to have the ability to listen, decipher and research to provide authoritative advice to customers’ in an efficient and professional manner.
The successful candidate will have completed a Business Administration Certificate III or similar relevant qualifications, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Customer Service environment

Position Hours: Part-time. Base hours from 8 hours to 75 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 5.25pm
Salary: Schedule A, Salary Point 5: $57,955.26 to $63,662.94, pro-rata plus 13.5% superannuation in accordance with Glenorchy City Council’s Enterprise Agreement 2021.
