You will assist the Coordinator Environmental Health Services in the delivery of public and environmental health programs in the community to ensure that Council’s statutory obligations are satisfactorily met.The Candidate: The successful applicant will have either completed or currently be undertaking the required qualifications as detailed in the Selection Criteria. Experience in the Environmental Health field within Local Government will be viewed favourably but is not critical to obtaining this position.The successful applicant will have a passion for the Environmental Health field, be able to demonstrate great interpersonal and time management skills with a passion to positively impact the health of the Local Government area.The salary point will be dependant on qualifications being obtained.Qualifications: The successful candidate will have completion of (or working towards the completion of), Bachelor of Health Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent qualifications to the satisfaction of the Tasmanian Director of Public Health with experience working as an Environmental Health Officer.Position Number: 100563Position Hours: Part-time, 45 hours per fortnight.
