We are looking for a suitably qualified Finance Officer (Centralised Debts) to join our Finance Collections team. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient recovery of Council’s non-rates debts as well as providing expert advice on credit management matters.The successful applicant will have:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated experience in working within a finance environment and familiarity of financial practices particularly comprehensive credit control knowledge.Highly organised, with the appropriate time management skills to be able to meet deadlines under conflicting pressures while meeting customer expectations.Proven ability in the use of financial and Microsoft software packages.Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously with limited supervision.Qualifications required: Minimum of Certificate IV in a relevant field or proven experience of at least 5 years in a similar work environment.Position Hours: Full-Time, 75 hours fortnight.
