Glenorchy is the second biggest employment location in greater Hobart and the industrial centre for Tasmania.  Home to the world-famous Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), Glenorchy also has vibrant retail and community services sectors.  Our community’s vision for the City is to be a proud city; a city of arts; of opportunity; of partnerships; a city that makes exciting things happen.We are looking for a Planning Officer to undertake statutory and strategic land use planning duties within Council’s Planning Section.The Candidate:  The candidate will have proven ability to work as part of a team and autonomously, a commitment to quality customer service, be highly organised with well-developed analytical, technical and presentation skills appropriate to planning related work.Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a qualification in a planning-related field, such as Urban Planning, Environmental Planning and Architecture.
