Plumbing Surveyor

Glenorchy is the second biggest employment location in greater Hobart and the industrial centre for Tasmania.  Home to the world-famous Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), Glenorchy also has vibrant retail and community services sectors.  Our community’s vision for the City is to be a proud city; a city of arts; of opportunity; of partnerships; a city that makes exciting things happen.We are looking for a suitably qualified Plumbing Surveyor to join the team.   You will be responsible to act as a permit authority, assess and issues permits and deal with plumbing compliance matters as they relate to Council’s obligations under the Building Act 2016.The Candidate:  The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of, and experience in, the Building Act 2016 and associated regulations and be proficient in interpreting and assess working drawings against relevant legislation. The applicant will also have well developed problem solving skills and a commitment to offering quality customer service. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have completed a Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Compliance) and be, or have the ability to be, licensed as a Building Services Provider – Permit Authority.Position Number: 100511Position Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week (3 days per week).
