We are looking for a suitably qualified Technical Officer to join our Environmental Health Services team within a dynamic Council, which will allow you to capitalise on your existing skillset.
This position is perfect for those wishing to re-enter the workplace, with young families or initially wanting to work part-time, with a gradual increase in hours over a 5-year period up to full-time. This position is offered through a job-share arrangement to support a graduated retirement plan for the current position holder, and will provide you with an unique opportunity to grow your skill-set over time. You will also be provided with mentoring, as well as other training and development opportunities (as needed) for the position to enable you to succeed in the role.
The Candidate: Will have proven ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge, have proven time management and organisational skills, a commitment to quality customer service, sound problem-solving skills and have demonstrated communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have completed a Certificate III in Business Office Administration or equivalent.

Position Hours: Initially the position hours will be Part-Time: 25 hours per fortnight, noting position hours will gradually increase over a 5-year period up to Full-Time (75 hours per fortnight)
Salary: Schedule A, Salary Point 5: $57,955.26 to $63,662.94 (pro-rata) in accordance with Glenorchy City Council’s Enterprise Agreement 2021
